Becker EFP Series

Description:

The Becker Environmentally-Friendly Positioner (EFP Series) is used with pneumatically actuated natural gas control valves to provide an accurate valve stem position that is proportional to the electronic command input signal received from an electronic controller. The EFP is compatible with all Becker actuators and may be retrofit to most manufacturer's control valve packages as well. The EFP eliminates the need for an I/P transducer and features ZERO bleed consumption at steady state. Additionally, the EFP features easy, solid state adjustment and multiple failure modes to protect your gas pipeline.

• Atmospheric bleed gas may be completely eliminated by using BPS� Bleed to Pressure System

• Explosion Proof design may be installed in hazardous locations such as natural gas regulating stations. Logic board also available for installation within RTU cabinet.

• May accept 4-20 mA analog or �24 VDC discrete positioning signal without need for I/P transducer

• Compatible with all pneumatic control valves and control valve actuators

• May be easily configured for split range control

• Standby mode allows for manual local positioning of control valve via on board potentiometer

• Pneumatic Manual Control Buttons allow for manual local positioning of control valve even without electrical power

• Spare fuses and jumpers located on board

• Diagnostic Solenoid Cycle Counter provides exact maintenance scheduling capabilities at site or remotely

• Local Diagnostics Calibration Test-pads provide easy calibration and troubleshooting diagnostics

• Command Signal Guard provides protection in event that electronic command input signal is lost. Failure of input signal may be configured to:

• Lock control valve in last position

• Stroke to full-open control valve position

• Stroke to full-open control valve position

• CSA approved

Options:

• Logic board available without explosion-proof box for remote mounting in RTU cabinet

• Clear �see-thru� window in explosion proof box cover to see LCD indicators without removing cover

• 24 V D.C. pulse module for voltage command input

• High capacity solenoid valves to increase stroking speed of actuator or for large actuator sizes
